THE WAY WE WERE
BENDE IGBOS
THEIR TRADITIONS, CULTURE, BELIEFS AND CUSTOMS
WITH SPEACIAL EMPHASIS
ON
ALAYI TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS
BY
WILLIAMS I. EKE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our forefathers said that the intelligent man expresses
his beneficence to other men by first accepting
each man's way as best for himeself. But
they (our forefathers) caution: "He
who knows much about others
may be learned, but he
who understands
himeself
is
more
intelligent."
I
did not know how much I knew about myself until
I opted to write this book. My intrest
demonstrates that things which
go together naturally do not
have to be tied; for they
will not be seperated
even
without
bonds.
